Organized once again by Joe Dempsey, Rick Curtin and John Collins, the dinner at the top-rated Il Capriccio in Waltham turned out to be a major fund-raiser for Wednesday's Child. Fifty-five people attended the dinner on Monday night, September the 28th. Many others who could not attend, sent donations. A $50,000 grant from Bank of America totalled over $100,000 for special needs adoption.

Rich Barron, owner and chef at Il Capriccio, provided a lavish menu for supporters of Wednesday's Child. Jeannie Rogers, former owner of the restaurant, who now has a wine wholesale business specializing in Italian wines, donated the wines (adonnaimports@rcn.com). Many thanks to Rich and Jeannie, who have helped us raise more than $600,000 over the years.

Special thanks to Mary Dempsey, Diana Curtin and Amy Collins for their hard work. John and Amy Collins flew up from Florida especially for the event.
