| Dear Mr. Williams,
We are all doing well as a family.
I have received a B.S. in English. I am currently seeking my Masters
at Empire State College in their Masters in the Art of Teaching
(M.A.T.) for English. It is my hopes that I will be a Teacher soon;
however, with the economy in the state that it is in now it is quite
difficult.
Victor is currently living in Marietta, GA. He is married and has
a beautiful baby girl named Kali French. He works for the Cable
Company down there.
Desmond is stationed in N.C. at Fort Bragg where he is part of
the Airborne squad. He has already served his mandatory 4 years
and has re-enlisted. He also made Sergeant.
Sita is working as a teacher in Baltimore for a small private school
called Hope Academy. She has bought her first house around the corner
from John Hopkins Institute. She is also working on her Ed.D. She
is very excited.
Govinda has 2 children. A daughter named La'Tia Paris French and
a young son named Cashmier French. He is in the works to develop
his own graphic design company. Since I can recall he has always
had an affinity for crayons and pencils. Who knew that his ability
to draw and captivate the eye and mind with images. He is very talented.
Though we are all up in age now 27-29 it seems like only yesterday
that we were sitting there in your studio smiling and cheerful with
a hope that our wish to be adopted together would come to fruition.
I must say that we were fortunate to have someone like you in our
lives dear Jack. When we were first introduced on your show it had
only been "airing" for 4-5 years prior. However, I believe
that it had been airing in your heart for decades. Your passion
and dedication for a cause such as the Wednesday's Child has truly
helped not only us but many other small children just like us, and
will continue to do so when you finally sign off. This is your legacy.
We, the French Family are a part of your legacy.
I am very much interested in helping in any capacity that you need.
If you would like to do an update on us, or would like me to make
an appearance on the show or simply be there I would consider it
a great honor.
Aside from knowing first hand the need for foster children to be
loved and have a home to call their own-whether it is returning
back to their biological family or a new home, there are many children
that don't and it is sad. However, I believe that each of them needs
hope. The same hope that you gave us as you whispered in our ears,
hunched, smiling over us wearing your black turtle neck shirt and
your red shiny hair neatly coiffed.
Please if there is any way in which I could be of service
to you please don't hesitate to write or call.
Sincerely,
Vincent I. French
