Dear Mr. Williams,
I know this is late in coming, but I wanted to thank you for the lovely
words you spoke during the Children's Telethon about my daughter Miranda.
So many people contacted us who knew the story, but not all of what
we have gone through as a family and we were so touched. Even Miranda
who hates to draw any attention to herself was moved. I don't think
she ever realized what an impact she has had on all of us.
She is now interning at Children's on 9 South, ironically where it all
began. That was the floor she stayed on when she had her first surgery
23 years ago. It has been a long road since. She only was a patient
once in the new section, and that was her last surgery. She sees now
the trauma that the children go through, but also the parents and siblings,
it has been an eye opener for her.
Thank you again and also thank you for all the work you do for the children
of Massachusetts, you are an inspiration to everyone and it is good
that someone can use their powers for "good" not evil!
If ever you need a helping hand on any project, just drop me a line,
I will always find a way to be of any help.
Sincerely,
Rachel Guardiani
